Brown Trout action on Lake Ontario is smoking

One of my friends and NYS guide sent me a few pics of the browns they are getting from shore along the Lake Ontario shoreline right now. He said the action is nothing short of brutal with fish being hooked on almost every cast at times. Today is 3/29/12 and it has been hot for weeks. I love this one with the double hooks on its jaw. I don’t know how long they will stay this close in but even with a small boat you can get at them at this time of year. Opening day of the regular season is close at hand and the conditions are looking perfect, a heck of a  lot better than many I have opened on.
